Energia (Energy) is an allegory of life. Two opposing entrances welcome humanity: on the left, an angry face and a Palladium bearing a spear dominate the scene; on the right, a serene face and the Palladium of justice. The human journey unfolds through this duality. One enters into the shadow of the lower loggias, confronting materiality and hardship, only to then ascend the grand central staircase. The higher one climbs, the more one is purified, finally emerging into the golden light where humans become winged Icaruses, free in the sky.
